  • How do I finish cleaning my print?
Once the print arrives, check it for any leftover support material. Most of the supports are removed before being shipped however some small supports may be left over. Supports look like thin pieces of plastic with a pointed tip. HOW TO: 1) If the support is not attached to the part, it may be removed with tweezers. If the support is still attached, insert the tweezers as close to the model as possible and apply a small amount of pressure until it detaches. 2) Do the same for the other side if it is connected and repeat the process as needed. Quality is our top priority!
  • How do I assemble a multi-part miniature?
Larger miniatures may require user assembly. To do so, follow our tutorial below for the most success. STEP 1: Look at our website to determine what the finished miniature should look like. Some models roughly contain an exploded view that describes the location of each part within the larger model. STEP 2: Remove any left over support from the model, especially around where the parts attach to each other. STEP 3: Without using any glue or adhesive, fit the pieces together to see how they join. If the seam between parts is to big, inspect the pieces to determine if there is any plastic or other obstruction in the way. STEP 4: If the faces need to be sanded, use a flat surface such as a glass plate and 220 grit sand paper or higher. Small files may also be used to remove material if the fit is too tight. STEP 5: Put all the parts together using UV glue and a UV pen or Cyanoacrylate based super glue. STEP 6: Show off the finished part on social media using #thunderbaydesign 😁
  • How do I get a Refund or Replacement?
If a product is broken upon arrival, or contains printing defects, you may email a picture of the broken product for a full refund or replacement. Please contact Admin@thunderbaydesign.com with your order number to start the process or to answer any questions you may have. NOTE: Due to the 3d printing process, small imperfections such as support material may be left over. Models may require a bit of sanding to make perfect as these are handmade small batch products. Such surface imperfections DO NOT constitute a refund. Images of the product may be sent to Admin@thunderbaydesign.com. We can then determine if the product is fully refundable.
